Rea Johnson, President of CREA Construction, is an innovative green builder with 10 years of experience in engineering and all facets of the construction industry. As the leader and founder of the company, she is responsible for financial planning, contract acquisition and building the ideal team. Her focus as a general contractor and subcontractor is to empower and inspire her team to reach and exceed their skills while warranting professional results. Also, her passion is to produce green communities one block at a time through sustainable building practices, weatherization of existing homes, and retrofitting commercial institutions.
Johnson is a native of Chicago and attained her MS in Mechanical Engineering
from the University of Illinois, Champaign, IL, 1998, her BS in Mechanical
Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, 1996 and
her BS in Mathematics, Magna cum Laude, Spelman College, Atlanta, GA,
1996. Her recent award was attained from the Chicago Association of Realtors
as a Good Neighbor Award Recipient, May 2009. She is currently active
in the Top Ladies of Distinction - LPCC and NAWIC of Chicago.
